DESCRIPTION:Startup Weekend – Refugee Edition\nStartup Weekends are a series of 54-hour weekend programs designed to bring an intense\, learning-by-action experience. It creates an environment that brings developers\, designers\, marketers\, product managers\, and startup enthusiasts together to share ideas\, form teams\, build products\, and launch startups. \nStartup Weekend-Refugee Edition brings local and refugee communities to create more significant opportunities and develop creative tech solutions together. \nLeaders from the tech community will mentor teams through the weekend. On Sunday afternoon\, teams will pitch their solutions to a judges panel of tech and community leaders. \nSelected winning team will get week-long training from startup experts during Startup Roadshow bootcamp and get the opportunity to win $15\,000 and a trip to Amsterdam to present their ideas during SPARK Ignite 2019. \nThis event is part of Startup Roadshow\, the world’s first startup competition for Syrian entrepreneurs across the Middle East. The competition will train 100 teams of entrepreneurs through a series of bootcamps in Lebanon\, Jordan\, Iraq and Turkey\, while awarding the top startups with cash prizes of up to $15.000. \nThe three top winners will also get an all-expense paid trip to Amsterdam\, to pitch during the Ignite 2019 conference.
